Hi, I’m Catherine!

My name is Catherine Roy, and I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I can help you with any of your breastfeeding concerns.

I’ll tell you a little about myself. I grew up here on Cape Cod in the town of Sandwich. I’ve been a Medical Assistant for almost eight years and currently work at an OB/GYN office. I love being a Medical Assistant and the medical field in general, but when I had my son I was inspired to take my career in a new direction.

So, Why Lactation Consulting?

I had such a hard time with breastfeeding.  But, after a lot of hard work, I was able to breastfeed my son for fourteen months. I experienced so many difficulties including low supply, troubles latching, mastitis, clogged ducts and the list goes on! I went to see a Lactation Consultant who was a godsend. I realized that this was my calling and something I could do to help other moms.

My favorite quote: “It takes a village to raise a child.”

I am here for you before and after your baby arrives to support your breastfeeding journey

SCALE RENTAL

The first few weeks after having a baby can be overwhelming. The number one reason mom’s supplement is that they didn’t know how much baby was transferring at the breast. Another bonus of this rental is free text messages to confirm if baby is taking in an appropriate amount. Email me with questions at MotherlyLoveWellness@gmail.com

Weekly rentals are $25.

Lactation Tea and More!

Lactation Tea for those times when you feel like you need a little boost in your supply. I usually recommend the teas and treats in the early days when your waiting for your milk to come in, returning to working out, getting your period back, ugh the worst, and returning to work. If you truly have a low supply, it won’t be enough to boost your supply but great when you feel like you have a dip in your supply. $12.95 and comes with a reusable tea bag.

Want to try our lactation energy bites? We can add those in as well. I totally understand how busy life can get with a newborn so let me make them for you! $5 a bag. To order please email me with your order down below.

Gift Certificates

Do you need a gift for someone but not sure what to get them? Why not a gift certificate to Motherly Love Wellness and they can pick it out themselves! It’s not just for breastfeeding, they can try a class or even buy some of our products out front. Can print out or email it directly to them.

Book your session!

Interested in scheduling a lactation session with me? Email me at catherine@motherlylovewellness.com or use the form to reach out and I will be in touch with you as quickly as possible.

Most Health Insurance Companies will reimburse you for IBCLC and other services.

We used Catherine’s services after the birth of our second son. With her encouragement, compassion and support, we were able to make it through some initial struggles with breastfeeding. Our son was nearly at his birth weight at his newborn visit and doing great! Mom is now pain free and feeling encouraged, supported and confident! We had a very clear plan and Catherine even emailed us additional info and answered our text message questions! I would not hesitate to use her again for any nursing needs! If your looking for a compassionate, intelligent support – you found her! Thank you Catherine!!!

Catherine is one of my best friends and I can’t explain how lucky I was to have her help while I was breastfeeding for the first time. My baby didn’t latch and I was so nervous about weight loss. Catherine made me feel so supported with all of her experience and knowledge. She worked with us and set up a plan. Although we are friends I’ve seen her continue to follow up with her patients even after the first visit. She always goes above and beyond.

I called upon Catherine when I was having difficulty with my new baby latching after a tongue tie. She was so calming and supportive. I could ask her anything and she had resources for me to dive into at my own pace and her expertise was invaluable. She was so informative and helpful, but most of all, kind. She made me feel at ease which ultimately made it easier to be successful. I would recommend Catherine to everyone.

After breastfeeding my first for 3 years, I thought I knew everything on breastfeeding. Then I had my second baby 13 years later. Right from the start I knew things were different. The nurses in the hospital (even their lactation consultant and our pediatrician) didn’t pick up on anything being wrong. After struggling the first couple months with weight gain on my son and a horrible latch, Catherine was the FIRST to notice what was wrong! A tongue tie! How could no one pick that up and catherine noticed at our first visit? It was night and day once we got that fixed for my son. If your wondering about who to choose for your lactation support, there is no question on picking Catherine for your help. Thank you Catherine!!

Catherine was so helpful after I struggled to breastfeed my second child. At one point, I was going to stop nursing and start supplementing with formula because I was worried about my baby gaining weight. Through her home visit, phone calls and texts she was able to help me make a plan to help my baby gain weight as well as help me find solutions to decrease latch pain. She even checked in on me and shared her personal experience which made me feel less isolated in my journey. I really don’t think I would have been successful without her support.

Catherine is an amazing Lactation Consultant! She’s thoughtful, caring and goes above and beyond to help her clients, supporting the mom’s mental health and well-being, while also providing the technical support. She has helped me with breastfeeding concerns for both of my kids; most recently successfully getting my 2nd to exclusively breastfeed after 9 long weeks. I’m excited to see her expand her offerings to support moms’ total wellness through their prenatal and postpartum journey.

Catherine has been a treasure of support and guidance for my daughter who just gave birth to her first baby. Nursing isn’t easy and automatic for all mothers. Catherine was reassuring to this new Grammy, my daughter and my son-in-law. She responded so quickly when we were feeling a bit frantic and worried. She has made two house calls to help my daughter. We love the compassion and support she provided. HIGHLY recommend her!

I couldn’t recommend Catherine enough if you are looking for an LC on the Cape! After getting some pretty bad advice at the hospital and dealing with ongoing oversupply issues, I called Catherine and it saved my breastfeeding journey. I was ready to wean but Catherine helped me come up with a plan that worked for me and my baby without any pressure or judgment. She checked on us periodically and I felt truly supported every step of the way. She went above and beyond to help me and now two months later I am successfully EBF without stress! We wouldn’t be here without her.
